Visit www.tegpower.com We developed this thermoelectric generator for use on rocket stoves or other bio-fuel stoves in third world countries to provide long term power and reliable battery charging. We specifically designed it first to be inexpensive and also so it can be molded in to a rocket stove when constructed or easily attached to existing ones.

nice idea..just a fyi, that’s not really a rocket stove…more like a short chimneyed regular fire place

So, how many TEG’s on a large rocket stove would it take to recharge a battery bank large enough to power the average American home?
How long would the stove need to run to accomplish that?

    Very innovative combination. Thank you.

Maby some kind of “thermal siphon” system can be used to cool the water. Basically, as the warm/hot water will rise up in the water reservoir/initial heatsink and overflow perhaps onto a large heatsink/metal and cool water will likewise be drawn in to the bottom of the water reservoir/initial heatsink.

it seems like using a bubble pump or a pop-pop type water jet could make the pumping system cheaper and more easily repairable unless you need the high flow rate from the electric pump. I suppose you could even use the rising hot air of the stove exhaust to power a pump the same way those candle powered Xmas spinners work.
